Report: Premier League club like the look of Tottenham centre-back

The Daily Mail have reported that Nottingham Forest ‘like’ Tottenham central defender Davinson Sanchez, amidst rumours the Colombian may be sold.

Spurs recently accepted a £12.9m bid for Sanchez from Spartak Moscow, but the move fell through because the defender didn’t want to make the move to Russia (DailyMail).

The report also claims that Sanchez is waiting to see whether interest from Galatasaray develops.

Nottingham Forest like the look of Sanchez

Sanchez has been linked with a Spurs exit all summer long, with various clubs said to have shown interest, including PSV Eindhoven (Voetbal International), Villarreal (Relevo), Galatasaray (Sporx), and Spartak Moscow (Sport Express).

It now appears that someone far closer to home has joined the list of admirers, with fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest taking a look at the 27-year-old.

However, the report does not mention whether Forest are expected to place a bid for the defender.

Spurs Web Opinion:

After such a promising start to the window, I can’t believe that Spurs still have no new centre-backs and have only sold one first-team player in Harry Winks.

It feels like the same old Tottenham window with a lot of boxes to tick, but not much actual ticking being done.
