Report: Premier League club linked with a move for Christian Eriksen

Newcastle United are interested in bringing former Spur, Christian Eriksen to St. James’ Park this summer if they secure the services of Mauricio Pochettino, according to Inter Live.

The Magpies are expected to spend big this summer if their rumoured takeover does indeed go through (The Sun).

Under the potential new Saudi-based ownership, United have been linked with many well-known names and the former Spurs manager has been tipped to take over from Steve Bruce (Express).

Just five months after joining Inter, Eriksen has already been linked with a move away from the Italian giants as Newcastle hope to reunite him with his former manager.

Pochettino and Eriksen worked together at Spurs for just under six years as Eriksen proved to be one of the best playmakers in the Premier League under the Argentine (Transfermarkt).

Despite scoring directly from a corner last weekend, Eriksen has admitted he has struggled in Italy given the current global circumstances – could a move back to England be on the cards (Gazzetta Dello Sport).
