The race to sign Bryan Gil from Tottenham Hotspur is hotting up, as Brighton and Hove Albion have now opened talks with the Lilywhites regarding a possible loan move for the young Spaniard this month.
It would seem the writing is on the wall for Bryan Gil, as speculation intensifies over his future, but every way you look at it, the winger appears to be on his way out of Tottenham this month.
Since joining Spurs in 2021, Gil is yet to finish a full campaign with the club. In his first season, he went on loan to Valencia, and last year, he spent the second half of the season with his former club, Sevilla.
Now, with minutes limited under Ange Postecoglou, it is believed Spurs are willing to move players like Gil on this month (Football Insider).
The 22-year-old is not short of admirers, either. So far, clubs such as Sevilla (Vamos Mi Sevilla), Feyenoord (1908.nl), Lazio (Quotidiano Sportivo), and Burnley (The Last Word on Spurs) have been linked with a move for Gil in the January transfer window.

Brighton want to loan Bryan Gil from Tottenham
Just yesterday, it emerged that Nottingham Forest were also keen on striking a loan deal for Gil (Will Unwin). And now, it’s Brighton‘s turn to join the race.
That’s according to a new report from the Daily Mail, who claim Brighton and Spurs have “opened talks” regarding a loan move for the youngster. The thought is that it would be an “initial loan,” but it is reiterated that the Seagulls will face competition from Nottingham Forest.
Spurs Web Opinion
You have to think Bryan Gil would really thrive in a team like Brighton’s and it would give us all a really good indication as to his suitability not just for the Premier League, but for Ange Postecoglou’s style of play, too.
