Report: Premier League club open to selling midfielder linked with Spurs

Wolves are ready to sell Ruben Neves this summer after reported interest in the midfielder from the likes of Tottenham, according to The Times.

Neves has been a mainstay for Wolves in the Premier League since helping the club secure promotion to the top flight in 2018.

90min reported this week that the 25-year-old informed the Midlands side of his desire for a fresh challenge at the end of the season with Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United named as potential suitors.

And The Times now claim that Wolves are ‘open to selling’ Neves this summer and have already started to look for candidates to replace the Portuguese.

Bruno Lage’s side are thought to have come to terms with a potential sale and will proceed with a transaction should they receive a sufficient offer.

Currently sidelined with a knee injury, Neves has made over 200 appearances for the club since signing from Porto five years ago scoring 24 goals (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

Neves has been a good option for Wolves in midfield so they are likely going to demand quite a bit to sanction a sale this summer.

He would fit in the Spurs midfield and they do need more bodies there, but there are also some parts to his game that could be slightly questionable.
