Report: Premier League club ready to sell striker rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar

Tottenham may have received a boost in their rumoured pusuit of Raul Jimenez after The Times claimed that the striker could be on his out of the Molineux Stadium this summer.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with Jimenez over the past month with reports suggesting that Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the striker (Daily Star).

French news outlet Soccer Link reported that Mourinho may contact his agent friend, Jorge Mendes to assist in the acquisition of the Wolves star while Foot Mercato claimed that the Spurs boss has already been in contact with the former Atletico Madrid star’s family over the possibility of him to North London.

The Times now claim that Wolves are ready to sell the 28-year-old this summer as long as they can make a significant profit over the £34million they paid for the striker last year.

The report also reveals that Juventus and Manchester United are both keen on signing Jimenez this summer as they look to bolster their attack.

Spurs Web Opinion

I cannot see this happening as not only is Jimenez likely to be out of our price range but I doubt he would want to come to Spurs knowing Harry Kane is going to be the main man upfront. We are much more likely to go for a Llorente-type centre forward who can play second fiddle to Kane and offer us a plan B off the bench.
