Report: Premier League club set to challenge Spurs in Dybala pursuit

According to a report from Transfer Market Web, Everton have joined the race to sign rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Paulo Dybala in the summer.

It has been claimed that the Serie A giants could cash in on Dybala as they cannot afford to extend both his and Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract.

Reports from Italy have backed Tottenham to make another attempt to sign the Argentine this summer after their pursuit of the 27-year-old collapsed in 2019.

Sources suggest that the North Londoners are ready to offer around €40-€45m (£34.3m- £38.5m) for the forward, who is set to run into the final year of his contract

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also backed the Argentine to leave the Allianz Stadium this summer (Here We Go Podcast).

However, it now looks as though Spurs could face plenty of competition from Premier League rivals in their pursuit of Dybala.

Transfer Market Web claims that the Toffees have now joined Tottenham and Arsenal in the race for the Juve star’s signature.

Spurs Web Opinion

As much as I was desperate for us to get Dybala until a few months ago, his ligament injury which has kept him out of action since January could potentially make him a risky acquisition. Besides, our priority this summer has to be strengthening at the back and so it might not be too wise to get caught up in a bidding war for the Argentine.
