CalcioMercato have revealed that Bournemouth are set to launch an offer to sign Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, who is reported to be on Tottenham’s radar.
There have been plenty of reports over the last few months linking McKennie with a move to Spurs and the latest update on the matter came from Alasdair Gold.
The journalist said on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast a few days ago that Fabio Paratici would reunite with the midfielder ‘in a heartbeat’ if he had an opportunity to do so.
CalcioMercato have now reported that Juve have decided to cash in on McKennie to raise transfer funds for January, with the Serie A giants said to value the player at around €35m-€40m (£30.9m-£35.3m).
The report adds that the USA international is ‘liked’ by Borussia Dortmund but reveals that it is Bournemouth who are at the front of the queue for the 24-year-old’s signature.
The Cherries have allegedly already made first contacts with the Bianconeri regarding a deal for McKennnie and have taken the ‘most concrete steps’ out of all clubs.

Spurs Web Opinion
Based on some of the recent reports (Football.London), it does not appear as if a number eight is a priority for Spurs in January, with Conte alleged to be keen on signing an out-and-out attacker. It is understandable why the Italian would want that, given the poor fitness records of Richarlison, Kulueveski and Moura so far this season.
