Football Insider have claimed that Everton are willing to sell Ben Godfrey to Tottenham for a cut-price fee in January.
Godfrey has struggled for game time at Goodison Park under Sean Dyche, with Jarrad Branthwaite, James Tarkoswki and Michael Keane above him in the pecking order.
Over the last couple of weeks, plenty of reports have indicated that the former Norwich City man has emerged as a target for Spurs ahead of January (Football.London’s Alasdair Gold).
90 min even asserted on December 6 that the Lilywhites are ready to push ahead with a move for the 25-year-old, with the Toffees said to be willing to offload him.
Everton will accept a cut-price fee for Ben Godfrey
This has now been backed up by Football Insider, who say that Godfrey is considered surplus to requirements by Dyche amidst Tottenham’s interest.
The outlet even alleges that the Merseyside club would be willing to take a loss on the £20m fee they paid for the England international back in 2020.

Godfrey would be quite a prudent signing as a backup to Romero as the Everton star has the attributes to do well in Postecoglou’s backline.
The 25-year-old is likely to accept a bit-part role at Spurs and could be a smart option to replace Dier in January before Tottenham reassesses their centre-back situation next summer.
