Report: Premier League manager has reached out to Spurs player about possible move

Football Transfers have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is keen on reuniting with Harry Kane at Chelsea but the Argentine may have to wait until next year to do so.

It has been an open secret for many weeks that Mauricio Pochettino was on his way to Chelsea and the confirmation finally arrived this week, with the West London club announcing that the former Tottenham man will be taking over the reins.

According to Football Transfers, the 51-year-old has set his sights on bringing Kane to Stamford Bridge, with the publication claiming to have heard from ‘multiple sources’ that the 29-year-old is on the club’s radar.

The report alleges that Pochettino has even spoken to the England captain about making the move across London when his contract with Spurs runs out in 2024.

It is explained that the former Tottenham and PSG boss is ‘eager’ to sign Kane ‘immediately’ but this possibility has been ‘dismissed out of hand’ by Daniel Levy, who is not expected to consider any offers from Chelsea for the player.

Finally, the outlet adds that Manchester United and Real Madrid have also expressed an interest in Kane, with Levy alleged to have quoted a lower transfer fee to the La Liga giants due to his unwillingness to sell the Spurs talisman to a Premier League rival.

Spurs Web Opinion

We know that Pochettino and Kane have a good relationship and it is thus quite possible that the Argentine has reached out to the striker.

However, I do not think there is any chance that the 29-year-old would consider making a switch to Stamford Bridge as he would be well aware that it will leave his Tottenham legacy in taters.
