Report: Premier League rival join Man Utd in considering Pochettino as their next manger

Chelsea could join Manchester United in trying to tempt Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino to join them in the summer.

According to the Sunday Express, Chelsea are keeping tabs on Pochettino after Maurizio Sarri is already under pressure at Stamford Bridge, despite only joining them in the summer.

Chelsea, who are currently eleven points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, could end up trailing by fourteen points if the Reds beat West Ham United at the London Stadium tomorrow night.

Sarri has already received text messages from Blues owner Roman Abramovic asking him to explain their unpredictable form, which recently saw them lose 4-0 at Bournemouth.

Pochettino continues to win over admirers for his work at Tottenham, after guiding them to second place in the table despite not spending a penny on new players in over a year.

Manchester United and Real Madrid have also been known to be long-term admirers of Pochettino, who signed a new five-year deal with Spurs last May (Guardian).

The report claims that any potential suitor would have to pay in excess of £50million to try and persuade Daniel Levy to part with Pochettino.
