Report: Premier League rival leading Spurs in race for Championship starlet

According to 90 min, Brighton are leading Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Blackburn Rovers attacker Tyrhys Dolan.

Dolan has impressed since breaking into the Rovers first-team this team this season, having eight goal contributions to his name so far (Transfermakrt).

The winger also showed his quality on international duty this week, finding the back of the net for England Under-20s in their 3-1 win over Germany.

90 min claim that Spurs, West Ham and Fulham have been tracking the youngster’s progress at Ewood Park this season.

However, the report suggests that Brighton are currently the front-runners to win the race for Dolan.

It is explained that the Seagulls have an excellent relationship with Blackburn, having loaned midfielder Reda Khadra to the Championship club this season.

It is suggested that Graham Potter’s men are ready to offer Khadra to Rovers in a permanent deal in their attempt to push through a deal for Dolan.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given the number of young players Spurs have been linked with over recent weeks, it sounds like Paratici is going to continue his policy of taking punts on up and coming talents as he did with the likes of Pape Sarr and Bryan Gil last summer.

Even though the majority of those kinds of signings might not work out, the potential upsides are high should one or two go on to fulfil their potential at Spurs. That is arguably our best chance of closing the gap with the likes of Man City and Liverpool over the long term.
