According to ESPN, Chelsea want Tottenham Hotspur to make an offer for Conor Gallagher when the transfer window opens in the summer.
It has been widely reported that Gallagher is one of Spurs’ top targets and that Chelsea are planning on offloading the midfielder, who is set to enter the final year of his contract this June.
Earlier this week, The Times explained that the Blues have decided to cash in on their academy graduate before June 30 as they are at the risk of being handed a points deduction if they do not comply with the Profit and Sustainability Rules.

The outlet revealed that with the midfielder coming through Chelsea’s academy, the entire fee that the club receive from his sale will go down as trading profit in their 2023-24 accounts. The publication named Spurs and West Ham United as the sides leading the race for Gallagher.
Some Tottenham fans will wonder whether Chelsea are actually willing to sell an academy player to their London rivals, but according to ESPN, the West London club have no qualms about doing that.
In fact, the publication asserts that behind the scenes, Chelsea are actively encouraging Spurs’ interest in the 23-year-old.
