Report: Premier League rivals considering late move for Tottenham star

The Independent claim that Manchester United are considering a late move for Tottenham Hotspur playmaker, Christian Eriksen, this summer.

There are only a number of days left before the window shuts on August 8th for any incoming Prem transfers, although Eriksen could leave for a foreign team beyond that.

The report states that the Red Devils now see Eriksen as a potential option after their deal for Bruno Fernandes has gone quiet.

Solskjaer is said to be desperate to bolster his midfield before the opening weekend and Eriksen could be an easy target as he only has one year left on his contract.

Spurs may be forced to decide whether the cost of selling to a rival is higher than missing out on a transfer fee altogether.

Eriksen revealed his desire to leave Spurs after the Champions League Final as he craves a new challenge and a step up (Ekstra Bladet).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Would Levy have sold to United at the start of the window? Probably not. Would he sell to a Prem rival now, I would bet my house on that being a no too.
