Report: Premier League rivals emerge as shock contenders for Eriksen – not Arsenal

According to EuroSport, West Ham United could be set to make a move for former Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen when the transfer window opens in January.

Christian Eriksen has endured an extremely difficult 12 months at Inter Milan since swapping the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the San Siro in January.

The midfielder has continued to struggle to force himself into Antonio Conte’s plans, with Inter chief executive Giuseppe Marotta all but confirming that the Dane will leave in January (Sky Italia via Sky Sports).

Some reports have linked him with a return to Spurs but it has been suggested that Jose Mourinho is not keen on having him back.

Tottenham’s North London rivals, Arsenal have also been mooted as a potential destination for the 28-year-old (ESPN).

EuroSport have now claimed that Eriksen desires a return to the Premier League next month and will consider all options on the table.

The report suggests that the Hammers could explore the possibility of signing the former Tottenham star in January as David Moyes looks to bolster his squad.
