Report: Premier League rivals place Tottenham star on list of summer targets

Manchester United have placed Tottenham striker Harry Kane on their list of summer transfer targets, with the club closing in on the appointment of Erik ten Hag, according to the Telegraph.

The Ajax manager is on the verge of replacing Ralf Rangnick in the dugout at Old Trafford and is set to beat fellow candidate Mauricio Pochettino to the vacancy (Sky Sports).

And the Dutchman seems to have already been promised a hefty spending budget ahead of the transfer window, with the Telegraph reporting a handful of players have been named as ones to target.

The report states Spurs and England talisman Kane is one of the names listed ahead of the summer, as well as West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Kane, who allegedly informed Spurs of his desire to leave last year (ESPN), has been in red hot form for the North London club since the turn of the year.

He has had a hand in 11 goals in his last eight Premier League appearances (Transfermarkt) which has lifted Antonio Conte’s side into the top four ahead of Arsenal.

The change at Man Utd seems to be happening quickly and they will want to keep adding to that in terms of the playing squad.

Obviously, Kane will crop up in plenty of conversations given his strong recent form, but again it is down to whether United are keen on paying Tottenham’s asking price, like what happened last summer.
