Report: Premier League side are looking at signing Tottenham player on loan

Argentine journalist Uriel Iugt has suggested that a temporary move to Bournemouth could be on the cards for Alejo Veliz this summer.

Veliz’s loan move to Sevilla has not panned out the way the striker would have wanted, with the youngster having made just three appearances as a substitute for the La Liga side.

With the 20-year-old showing no signs of forcing his way into Quique Sanchez Flores’ plans, Spurs will consider his five-month spell at Andalusia to be wasted.

It has been suggested that Tottenham have already begun looking for loan moves for the striker next summer, with Fabrizio Romano reporting last week that the Lilywhites are keen for the Argentine to get competitive minutes under his belt.

This information was also subsequently backed up a couple of days ago by TyC Sports, who said that Tottenham want to send the centre-forward to a relatively big club so that he can get used to the pressures of playing at the highest level.

Bournemouth are interested in Alejo Veliz

Iugt has now also confirmed that Veliz will indeed go out on loan after he returns to Tottenham this summer.

The journalist suggests that the former Rosaria Central man could make a move to a Premier League side as the Cherries are keeping close tabs on his situation.

Veliz would not be guaranteed regular game time at a mid-table Premier League side like Bournemouth even if they sell Dominic Solanke this summer.

It would make sense for Spurs to send him out on loan to a top Championship club for the first half of next season before reconsidering the situation in January.
