Report: Premier League side are pricing winger out of desired Spurs move

Wolves are reportedly pricing Adama Traore out of a move this summer, despite the winger wanting to join Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur (90Min).

Tottenham actively targeted Traore last January, but they lost out to Barcelona, who signed him on a six months loan deal (ESPN). He returned to Molineux this summer but has rejected several attempts from his club to renew his contract (Daily Express).

Traore is in line to become a free agent when his current deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers expires next summer. Spurs are expected to be in the market for a forward if Bryan Gil leaves in this transfer window (The Athletic).

Alasdair Gold has already confirmed that Traore could become a possible replacement for Gil (Football.London), who is set to join Valencia on a season-long loan move as soon as Spurs brings in another attacker, as revealed by Gennaro Gattuso (Valencia official).

Traore could be seen as a potential replacement for Gil, although the Wanderers are making things difficult with their high asking price, according to 90Min.

The former Barcelona man is willing to join up with Antonio Conte and is even ready to wait till next summer to make his move on a free transfer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It will certainly be interesting to see how Conte manages his attacking options should Traore join in this window. Gil’s potential exit would leave Tottenham a bit short-handed on the left-wing, although Richarlison can play in that role as well.

Spurs already have Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura on the right, where Traore has made a name for himself. Perhaps the latter’s arrival could enable Conte to try out Kulusevski as a number ten in midfield as the Swede operated there at times for Juventus.
