Report: Premier League side exploring loan for £28m Spurs player

Nottingham Forest are considering a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon during the current transfer window, according to Daily Mail.

The Spaniard has found himself out of favour in north London after being left out of the club’s pre-season preparations alongside Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele.

Tottenham have already bolstered their options at left-wing back during the summer with the experienced Ivan Perisic arriving on a free transfer from Inter Milan to provide competition for Ryan Sessegnon.

Forest have been busy over the course of the summer, having brought in sixteen new players for their return to the top flight.

Reguilon, who is currently injured is also said to have already received enquiries from Lazio and Villarreal.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Parting ways with Reguilon permanently would be in the best interests of Conte’s side, considering how they no longer need his services. That is especially the case now that they have also signed Destiny Udogie from Udinese for £21million (ESPN) in this transfer window.

The north Londoners prised away Reguilon from Real Madrid in a deal worth up to £28million back in 2020 (talkSPORT). Recouping that sum would be in Tottenham’s mind, although that could be difficult since Steve Cooper’s team only want to sign him on a loan move.
