Report: Premier League side keeping tabs on Spurs midfielder this summer

Football Insider have reported that Premier League club, Southampton, are keeping tabs on Tottenham’s Harry Winks ahead of the summer transfer window.

Winks broke into the Spurs XI from the academy under Mauricio Pochettino and has struggled for minutes this season with Jose Mourinho at the helm.

The midfielder even found himself left out of the recent England squad ahead of the Euros in the summer, despite being a regular under Gareth Southgate this past year.

Southampton are said to be assessing their midfield options going into the transfer window and Winks is reportedly an option.

TransferMarkt claim that Winks, who is under contract in North London until 2024, is worth just short of £20m in the current market.

The Spurs man has appeared 24 times across all competitions this season but only ten have come in the Premier League and only seven of those were starts (TransferMarkt).

Football Insider claim that Spurs could cash in on Winks in order to fund moves for other players this summer.
