Report: Premier League striker linked with Spurs could be available for a cut-price deal

Wolves striker Raul Jimenez, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar could be available for a cut-price deal in the summer, according to reports from Italy.

Jimenez has been a revelation for Wolves since arriving in the Premier League and his form this season has been particularly impressive, with the striker notching up 22 goals and 11 assists in all competitions (transfermarkt.com).

Tottenham have been heavily linked with Jimenez over the past two months with reports suggesting that Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the striker (Daily Star).

It has even been claimed that the Spurs boss has already been in contact with the former Atletico Madrid star’s family over the possibility of bringing him to North London ( Foot Mercato).

The Times reported last month that the striker is likely to leave Molineux this summer.

TuttoJuve now claim that the Mexican international could be available for just £18million due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They suggest that Juventus are interested in the 29-year-old and could try to pull off a swap deal with Gonzalo Higuain heading to the Black Country.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that Jimenez has three years left to run on his contract and that he is one of the most sought after forwards in Europe, it just does not seem plausible that Wolves would be ready to sell him for as little as £18million. Besides, I highly doubt he would want to come to Spurs knowing that he might have to play second fiddle to Harry Kane.
