Report: Premier League winger is no longer a ‘priority’ for Spurs or Arsenal

Ryan Fraser is not a priority for either Tottenham or Arsenal in the upcoming summer transfer window, report the Metro.

The Bournemouth winger is set to leave the south coast on a free transfer this summer with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has only managed to score one goal and register four assists this season in the Premier League (Transfermarkt) despite a fantastic campaign last year.

As a result of the financial implications the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the world and football in particular, free transfers are likely to be taken advantage of this summer.

According to the report, Fraser was a target for the Gunners last summer but question marks were raised as to whether he could cut it at a top-six side.

London clubs, Crystal Palace and Watford are also showing interest in the Scotland international and are likely to be more realistic options for Fraser (Express).

Speculation surrounding Fraser and a potential move to Spurs has raised questions over Erik Lamela’s future at the club (Daily Star).

Spurs Web Opinion

Would Fraser improve our squad? I don’t think he would. However, given the financial circumstances, it is a move that would make a lot of sense to Daniel Levy. Fraser impressed two seasons ago at the Cherries but his showing this season has left a lot to be desired.
