Report: Prolific forward wanted by Spurs and Arsenal has switched agents 

Foot Mercato have revealed that Montpellier starlet Elye Wahi has changed his representation in the lead-up to the summer transfer window.

Wahi turned a lot of heads with his breakthrough season in 2021-22 and the 20-year-old has continued in the same vein this season, with 10 goal contributions in 21 Ligue 1 matches so far (Transfermarkt).

Telefoot reported a couple of days ago that the versatile forward, who can play across the front three, was on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the summer.

The report added that Antonio Conte’s men could face competition from their North London rivals, Arsenal and Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund for the youngster.

Foot Mercato have now also reported on the interest of Spurs and Arsenal in Wahi, revealing that both clubs ‘courted’ the attacker during last month’s transfer window.

In what could be a significant development, the publication states that the Frenchman has now parted ways with Jorge Mendes and signed a deal with DW Sports Management.

The motivation for the change in representation might not be transfer related but there is no doubt that plenty of clubs from around Europe will express an interest in Wahi when the transfer window reopens.

The youngster has posted some extremely impressive numbers for his age, and there certainly parallels between him and a young Kylian Mbappe when he broke through at Monaco.
