Report provides detailed insight into ‘fascinating personality’ of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Football.London has provided an interesting insight into the personality of Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Hojbjerg has been a near ever-present for Spurs since joining the club in 2020 with Antonio Conte being able to depend on the 26-year-old in the heart of his midfield.

He made 48 appearances in all competitions last season and missed just two in the Premier League (Transfermarkt) as Spurs pipped rivals Arsenal to the final Champions League spot.

With Hojbjerg currently on international duty with Denmark and club football now on a break, Football.London has set out to dig deeper into the former Southampton man’s character on and off the pitch.

The report claims Hojbjerg is a ‘fascinating personality’ as one of the leaders in the Spurs dressing room and often has a big say in what is going on around him.

His teammates describe him as ‘intense’ which can sometimes overwhelm those who have not experienced a similar persona before, although he is recognised as someone that is keen to extract the best out of his colleagues.

Hojbjerg’s personality has also been compared to that of Conte with some figures at Spurs noting the pair have similar traits and passion when it comes to football.

It is also claimed that Hojbjerg adapted seamlessly to Conte’s strict dietary changes (Evening Standard) having paid close attention to his nutrition throughout his career, while he has also been seen taking part in yoga sessions at the club’s training centre.

Spurs Web Opinion

Hojbjerg really rebounded from his blip in the middle of the season to become almost unplayable in the second half of the campaign.

You can tell that he cares greatly about his craft and wants those around him to give their best which shows he is one of the leaders aside from Hugo Lloris. Those are good traits to have as they can reflect across the squad and hopefully inspire confidence.
