Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham are now set to strike an ‘early agreement’ after blowing away Chelsea and Fulham in the race for Antonio Nusa.
The report says that both the Blues and the Cottagers had been circling the winger but it was Spurs who ‘took the initiative’ by pushing ahead with a move for the youngster.
It is explained that Spurs’ willingness to loan Nusa back to Club Brugge until the end of the season was a major factor in convincing the 18-year-old, who was keen to see out the rest of the campaign at the Belgian side.

The outlet adds that as a result, Ange Postecoglou’s men have now ‘stolen a march’ on their London rivals and moved into ‘pole position’ to land the Norway international ahead of the February 1 transfer deadline.
This report comes less than 24 hours after Fabrizio Romano reported on his YouTube channel that there are also other clubs circling over Nusa and that the race for the teenager remains wide open, which is why Spurs are in a hurry to conclude the deal.

It seems like this deal is moving in the right direction but one cannot rule out any last-minute surprises as several Premier League sides and clubs around Europe will be keeping an eye on Tottenham’s negotiations with Brugge.
