Report provides positive Adama Traore update for Spurs – Green light given

90 min have claimed that Wolves manager Bruno Lage has given the green light for Adama Traore to be sold to Tottenham Hotspur after the North Londoners’ approach.

The report claims that Spurs are now expected to launch a bid of £22m for Traore after Wolves changed their stance regarding the winger.

It is alleged that the West Midlands club priced the Spaniard out of a move to Spurs in the summer by demanding £50m for him.

However, they are now said to have lowered their asking price for the pacy wide man after he rejected multiple contract offers from the club.

It is revealed that Tottenham have offered Joe Rodon and Matt Doherty to Wolves as part of the Traore deal but Bruno Lage’s side prefer a straight cash deal.

Wolves are also thought to have informed Liverpool, Leeds and West Ham about the winger’s situation but it is Spurs who are said to be leading the race.

Finally, 90 min claim that Traore’s representatives have communicated to Spurs that the 25-year-old would be willing to play as a right-wing-back in Conte’s system.

Spurs Web Opinion

This deal now appears to be gathering steam and it seems likely to be completed. While Traore seems to divide opinion among Spurs fans, I would personally be chuffed with his signing as I am excited to see how he will develop under Conte, particularly if the Italian uses him as a wing-back.
