Sky Sports have revealed on their live transfer centre blog (on 19/05, 11 am) that Feyenoord are now ‘increasingly resigned’ to losing Arne Slot this summer amidst Tottenham’s interest.
The report states that Arne Slot is one of the top contenders to replace Antonio Conte at Spurs, with the Dutch club alleged to be becoming ‘increasingly concerned’ about his future over recent days.
Despite this, Feyenoord have not given up hopes of tying the 44-year-old down to a new contract, with the Eredivisie champions said to be willing to offer their head coach a contract worth £3.5m per season, which is double what he currently earns.
However, Sky Sports add that Slot might not be the outright frontrunner for the Tottenham job just yet, with Celtic boss Ange Postecoglu and Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi also said be of interest to the Lilywhites.
The report adds that Fulham’s Marco Silva and Brentford‘s Thomas Frank also have admirers at North London club.
Spurs Web Opinion
It appears like Tottenham’s managerial pursuit is still at a preliminary stage, with the club merely wanting to speak to various candidates before arriving on their top target.
I do not think we will make too much progress on the managerial front until a sporting director arrives through the door.
