Report provides Spurs Vlahovic update as interested clubs grow by the day

CalcioMercato have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are currently the front-runners in the race for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, despite other clubs also showing interest in the striker.

TuttoJuve24 revealed two weeks ago that Juve were worried they could be pipped by Spurs to the signing of Vlahovic after Antonio Conte’s arrival in North London.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport have claimed Fiorentina would prefer to sell the Serbian international to Spurs over the Serie A giants.

CalcioMercato’s latest report explains that the phone of Vlahovic’s agent ‘doesn’t stop ringing’ with the number of suitors growing by the day.

While Manchester City and Arsenal are alleged to have shown interest in the 21-year-old, it is said that Tottenham are Juve’s ‘main rival’ in the race for the striker.

It is claimed that the Old Lady are trying to catch Spurs off-guard by striking a deal before January. Finally, the report adds that Fiorentina value Vlahvoic at between €60m (£50.5m) and €70m (£58.9m).

If Juventus are our main competitors for Vlahvoic, then that should give Spurs a decent chance of clinching the deal for the Fiorentina man. Juve are not really in a position to spend big unless they cash in on some of their players.
