Report provides update in the race for Richarlison as Spurs may have competition

The Daily Mail have now claimed that Chelsea are about to join the race for Everton striker Richarlison, who is on Tottenham’s radar.

Richarlison has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs over the last couple of weeks, with The Athletic’s David Ornstein even stating that his sources at Everton expect the forward to be a Tottenham player by the end of the transfer window.

The Independent reported a few days ago that Antonio Conte’s men could face competition from Chelsea for the Brazilian.

The Mail have now backed up the information, stating that the Blues are set to step up their pursuit of the Toffees star.

The report reveals that Spurs have a ‘concrete interest’ in Richarlison and were the ‘most serious’ about landing the 25-year-old while Arsenal also have their eye on the forward.

However, the Everton man is said to feature prominently on Chelsea’s list of targets as Thomas Tuchel aims to revamp his attack this summer.

The Mail also add that Everton are ready to listen to offers for Richarlison but would want well in excess of £50m to let him leave.

Spurs Web Opinion

It looks like it is going to be a dog fight between Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal for the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Richarlison and potentially even Lautaro Martinez this summer.

One advantage that both Arsenal and Chelsea have over us is that whoever goes there will be assured of being the main man up front at those respective clubs, particularly with Lukaku seemingly on the verge of returning to Inter.
