Report provides update on Adama Traore situation after Tottenham links

90 min have claimed that rumoured Tottenham target Adama Traore is likely to leave Wolves this summer, irrespective of whether or not he ends up at Barcelona.

Traore was thought to be Spurs’ first-choice target for the right wing-back role in January but he reportedly turned down the North Londoners’ approach in favour of a loan move to Barcelona (The Athletic).

The Catalan giants have the option to snap up the 26-year-old permanently for £29m in the summer (Sky Sports).

However, Traore has struggled for regular game time since his move to the Camp Nou, with Sport suggesting last month that Xavi’s men have no intention of signing the pacy wide-man permanently.

Sport have claimed that Spurs are keeping an eye on the situation in case Barca do not take up the permanent option.

If 90 min’s latest update is to be believed, Traore will be made available for sale by Wolves irrespective of Barca’s decision. The report claims that the winger is ‘likely’ to leave the Molineux Stadium this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that Traore seemed to be Conte’s preferred target for the right wing-back role, it stands to reason that Spurs will show interest again this summer if he is available.

However, it could also have been a case of Spurs going for Traore in January as their main targets were not available mid-season.

With the likes of Djed Spence and Wilfried Singo likely to be on the market this summer, the North London club’s priority might have changed.
