Report provides update on Conor Gallagher’s future amid Tottenham rumours

TBR Football have revealed that Tottenham target Conor Gallagher is yet to be offered a new contract by the Chelsea hierarchy.

Gallagher, who has been one of Chelsea’s most consistent performers this season, has just a year left to run on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.

TBR Football say the midfielder is in demand across the Premier League, with not only Spurs but also West Ham United and Newcastle ready to make a move for him when the transfer window reopens in June.

No Chelsea contract offer for Conor Gallagher

It is explained that the 24-year-old’s preference would be to remain at his boyhood club beyond this summer. However, Gallagher is said to be growing ‘increasingly concerned’ with a lack of a contract offer from Chelsea even though talks between the two parties over a new deal first started around a year ago.

Finally, the publication explains that Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear to the Blues hierarchy that he wants the England international to be offered a new deal.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given Chelsea’s current situation with respect to PSR, they cannot afford not to sell Gallagher and a couple of other homegrown players this summer.

The proceeds from the Englishman’s sale will go down in the West London club’s accounts as pure profit and thus alleviate some of their financial troubles.
