Report provides update on Fabio Paratici’s contact with Kane’s camp over new deal

Football.London have revealed that despite Fabio Paratici having reached to Harry Kane’s camp regarding a new contract, formal talks between the two parties are yet to begin.

The Athletic provided a positive update on Kane’s future on Monday by reporting that the Lilywhites remain determined to tie down the striker to a new deal, with his current contract set to expire a the end of next season.

The publication suggested that the North London club are not thinking about a sale despite the striker being down to the final 15 months of his deal and are prepared to continue discussions into next season.

Football.London have now said that formal talks are yet to begin despite Paratici making efforts to sit down with the 29-year-old’s entourage.

The report adds that while Kane remains open to discussing fresh terms with Tottenham, he is in no rush to sit down over a new deal, with the season now reaching its business end.

It is also suggested that the England captain’s future is not linked to that of Antonio Conte’s fate at the club.

Conte is expected to leave Tottenham before the start of next season when his current contract is due to expire with no desire from the 53-year-old or from within Tottenham to trigger a 12-month contract extension to keep him as head coach (Daily Mail).

Spurs Web Opinion

I think Tottenham will be fairly confident of getting Kane to commit to a new contract as long as they finish in the top four.

The striker would probably want to wait until the summer and see who the club brings in to replace Conte before making a decision on his future and certainly will not be short of admirers from other clubs should he wish to try and jump ship.
