Report provides update on Juventus’ stance on Dybala amidst Spurs links

According to CalcioMercato, Juventus have not given up hope of agreeing a new contract with rumoured Tottenham target Paulo Dybala.

Dybala is now into the final six months of his contract at the Allianz Stadium and is thus free to sign pre-contract agreements with non-Italian clubs (Transfermarkt).

Tyc Sports reported last month that the 28-year-old is set to leave Juventus on a free transfer in the summer after failing to agree on a new deal with the Serie A giants.

It was explained that Juve had offered Dybala a contract but later chose to reduce the terms offered, which left the player furious.

90 min claimed last week that the Argentine’s representatives have offered their client to a whole host of clubs around Europe, including Spurs.

However, CalcioMercato have now revealed Juve still harbour hopes that Dybala will commit his future to the club.

It is explained that while no date has been fixed to resume talks with the forward’s representatives, the club will eventually restart negotiations on a new deal.

The report suggests that Juve will try to ‘put aside all the controversies of recent months’ in trying to reach an agreement with Dybala.

It is revealed that Massimiliano Allegri’s side will offer the player a similar salary to what they previously did – around €8m (£6.7m) per season.

However, the Serie A giants will allegedly ask the player to take a cut on the commission previously offered to the player’s entourage.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Dybala’s attacking versatility would make him a very good fit for Conte’s set-up.

However, Spurs fans should not be getting their hopes about the signing as there is still plenty of time for Argentina to do a U-turn on his Juve future.

Whether or not Tottenham move for Dybala in the summer could also depend on how well Kulusevski does over the next few months.
