Report provides update on Man United’s Harry Kane stance for the summer

Football Insider have asserted that despite knowing that a deal for Harry Kane would be difficult to pull off this summer, Manchester United remain determined to sign the Tottenham man.

The report states that Kane remains the name at the top of United’s shortlist as the transfer window approaches, with the England captain continuing to be the ‘number one priority and the top target’ for the Red Devils.

This is because the Old Trafford hierarchy believe that the 29-year-old can be the ‘difference maker’ and help them bridge the gap with the top teams in the Premier League.

It is alleged that Erik Ten Hag’s men are of the opinion that Kane can help take them closer to Manchester City and enable them to mount a title challenge during the upcoming seasons.

The report adds that even though the striker has said that he will not discuss a new contract with Spurs until a new manager is in place, a deal to take him away from N17 ‘will not be an easy to do’ for Man Utd this summer.

The media outlets seem to be circulating the same stories about Kane and that is going to continue to be the case as we get closer to the summer transfer window.

Realistically, United look a long way off from challenging for the Premier League title, which is why I am not sure if Kane would be convinced that a move to Old Trafford would be the right one for him to make at this stage of his career.
