Report provides update on Nagelsmann and his plan for the summer amid Spurs links

Sport 1 have claimed that Tottenham’s managerial target, Julian Nagelsman, would be tempted by an offer from the Premier League.

It was reported last week that Spurs had wasted no time in contacting Nagelsmann after the news of his departure from Bayern Munich emerged (Daily Mail).

Over the past few days, there have been some positive updates regarding Tottenham’s chances of snapping up the 35-year-old.

The latest update came from Matt Law, who revealed on Matt Hayes’ Tottenham Blog podcast on Friday that Nagelsmann would consider himself to be a bit of a Spurs fan.

The journalist also revealed that Daniel Levy has an excellent relationship with the German’s agent, having discussed several players and managers with him over recent years.

Sport 1 have now revealed that Nagelsmann has not received any concrete proposals so far.

This is because he does not want to take a coaching job for the time being as he wants a bit more time to reflect on what happened in Bavaria.

However, the publication adds that the German could take up a new challenge in the summer and that the Premier League ‘definitely appeals to him’.

Real Madrid are named as the other potential destination for Nagelsmann, with Carlo Ancelotti’s future at the club now in doubt.

Spurs Web Opinion

It would be hard for any manager to turn down Real Madrid if they come calling as coaches would be aware that they might not get a second chance to manage Los Blancos.

So, unless the La Liga giants decide to prioritise a move for Pochettino, it would be quite difficult for us to get Nagelsmann.
