Report provides update on negotiations between Spurs and Inter Milan for Skriniar

According to a report in Gazzetta Dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Milan Skriniar has his heart set on a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham have already completed five signings so far this window, with reports indicating that the club have now turned their attentions towards Skriniar (Football.London).

The North Londoners sent representatives to Italy last week to hold negotiations for the central defender (Calcio Mercato), with reports indicating that the Slovak has already agreed on personal terms ahead of a move to North London (Corriere Dello Sport).

Gazzetta dello Sport have now offered an update on the transfer as they reveal that the two clubs are set to meet again on Monday to try and hash out a potential deal.

It is said that Inter want around €50million for the centre-back while Spurs are only ready to offer around €40m but both parties are said to be hopeful that a deal can be agreed.

The reports assert that Skriniar knows he is unlikely to be first-choice under Antonio Conte this season and would hence prefer to join Spurs.

Spurs Web Opinion

It sounds like plenty of progress has been made in negotiations for Skriniar, with all three parties seemingly wanting the deal to go through. If we manage to get this transfer in the bag within the next few days, that will leave us with over a week to work on bringing in a suitable backup to Kane.
