Report provides update on potential Bryan Gil loan to Valencia – Spurs have conditions

Spanish publication El Desmarque have revealed that Valencia have already contacted Bryan Gil’s representatives regarding a loan move this month.

Fabrizio Romano was the first to report on Sunday that Valencia, Real Sociedad and Nice were interested in signing Gil on loan, with the journalist revealing that Los Che were leading the race for the winger.

This was subsequently backed up by Cadena Ser, who claimed that despite Valencia being the front-runner for Gil, Sociedad had not given up hope and were waiting for a response from Spurs.

El Desmarque have now explained that Gil is aware of Valencia’s interest as the La Liga club have spoken to the player’s entourage.

Valencia boss Jose Bordalas is alleged to be a fan of the 20-year-old but the report explains the club might find the move to be ‘complicated’.

This is because Tottenham allegedly want a couple of conditions met before sanctioning the loan move – one of them being the arrival of Adama Traore.

It is also explained that Valencia might find it difficult to bring Gil to the Mestalla if Spurs demand a loan fee for the Spanish international.

Spurs Web Opinion

Gil joining Valencia on loan would suit all parties. Tottenham need the 20-year-old to be playing regularly for him to continue his development.

The youngster will also know that he has to get minutes under his belt in the second half of the campaign if he is to have any shot of making the Spain squad for the Qatar World Cup.
