Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has provided an update on how Tottenham’s loanees have been fairing at their respective clubs this week.

He revealed that Pape Matar Sarr, who was loaned back to Metz after signing for Spurs in the summer, is continuing to ‘catch the eye’ despite the Ligue 1 club’s struggles this season.

The 19-year-old has reportedly been used in a variety of roles this season, including in the holding role, centrally, as an attacking midfielder and on the left-wing, showcasing his versatility.

Kion Etete has broken his League Two deadlock for Northampton Town this evening, having netted against Stevenage, the forward impressed in their 2-0 win at home against Mansfield Town on Saturday, with the 19-year-old even hitting the crossbar.

Meanwhile, Troy Parrott got more international minutes under his belt from the bench for the Republic of Ireland during the international break while Cameron Carter-Vickers continues to be a mainstay in the Celtic backline, having made his eighth consecutive start for the hoops this week.

Gold added that Alfie Whiteman continues to get a run of starts between the sticks for Swedish side Degerfors while.

Finally, Jamie Bowden grabbed an assist for Oldham as the League Two side beat Stevenage 3-0 over the weekend.

It is interesting to hear that Sarr is being used in different positions across the midfield by Metz. That might have to do with the fact that they are struggling and their manager to chop and change his combinations. However, playing in different positions could potentially benefit his development.
