Report provides update on Spurs ‘priority’ signing Marcus Thuram

Foot Mercato have reported that Marcus Thuram remains a ‘priority’ signing for Tottenham this summer and it would take a fee of around €30m to sign him.

The report claims that Tottenham are joined by RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund in the race for the Borussia Monchengladbach winger who was on duty with France at Euro 2020 this summer.

It is reported that Spurs have their eye on the French market in the current transfer window and that Thuram himself would like a change of scenery ahead of the new season.

Foot Mercato say that Tottenham’s new managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, would support Thuram from within the club and the player ‘has good odds’ with Spurs.

Mohamed Bouhafsi previously reported that Tottenham were in talks with Thuram and that things had progressed in recent times, with the Frenchman being a ‘priority’ signing.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Gareth Bale does not return and Erik Lamela leaves this summer, then Spurs need a new class winger who can chip in with goals and assists alongside Harry Kane and Heung-min Son. Thuram looks like a good option to fit that bill.
