Report provides update on timeline of Man City’s push to sign Kane

ESPN have reported that Man City are willing to wait 12 months to sign their next striker, with Harry Kane mentioned as an option for Pep Guardiola’s side.

The report claims that Man City, Man United and Chelsea have all registered an interest in Kane already, with the player himself wanting to leave this summer.

However, the England captain still has three years left on his current contract in North London and Man City are apparently aware of how difficult it will be to get a deal over the line. Daniel Levy reportedly values his star asset at more than £150m.

ESPN reveal that sources have told them Man City are willing to wait and move for Kane again next summer when Tottenham may be under more pressure to sell.

Meanwhile, Kane is said to be fully focused on England at the European Championships and does not expect anything to happen until after the tournament.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This article hits the nail on the head. I expect City to come back in for Kane next summer and sign him then for around £100m rather than paying the £150m price tag this summer.
