Report provides update on Tosin Adarabioyo – Fulham want to sell to Spurs

Foot Mercato have revealed that Fulham are pushing for Tosin Adarabioyo to join Tottenham Hotspur but the centre-back prefers to move to Monaco instead.

Tottenham are now on the verge of making their first defensive addition of the summer, with Micky van de Ven’s capture expected to be announced soon (Fabrizio Romano).

Ange Postecoglou confirmed on Sunday that the Dutchman will not be the only central defender Spurs sign this window (talkSPORT).

Adarabioyo is reported to be one of the players on the North London club’s radar, with Football London reporting last week that the Lilywhites are soon expected to launch their opening offer for the 25-year-old soon.

The outlet claimed that the Fulham man was attracting interest from the likes of Monaco, which is why Tottenham are keen to move swiftly to secure his services.

Adarabioyo is edging closer to Monaco than Spurs

Foot Mercato have now asserted that Monaco are ‘very close’ to reaching an agreement with the Cottagers for the Adarabioyo.

The report claims that the centre-back’s proposed move the Ligue 1 side is getting ‘closer’ by the day.

Curiously, it is asserted that while Fulham have asked the agents working on the deal to take the defender to Tottenham, the player’s preference is to move to Louis II Stadium.

The publication adds that Adarabioyo’s entourage and Monaco are both confident that the deal will be done.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am quite sceptical about the claim that Adarabioyo prefers to join Moncao over Spurs. The only potential reason I can think of for that is if the defender is unsure if he will get regular game time at the North London club.
