Bild have reported that Marcus Thuram’s exit from Borussia Mönchengladbach is still possible this summer even though there is no release clause.
It was reported earlier this month by RMCSport journalist, Mohamed Bouhafsi, that Spurs were in talks with Thuram over a possible move.
He claimed that talks had progressed over recent days according to a source close to the North London club, adding that the French attacker was a priority for Spurs this summer.
The new Bild report claims that Thuram’s sale could depend on the future of Harry Kane as Mönchengladbach hope the England captain is sold so Spurs can spend big money.
Thuram is apparently valued between £34m and £39m this summer and the German club are also apparently hoping that talks do not drag on as they are relying on money from player sales.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Thuram certainly looks like a great option to have across the front line but I suspect that Erik Lamela will have to be sold before any new attackers come in. I think that Bergwijn and Moura will stay this summer.
