Report provides update on Tottenham’s pursuit of RB Leipzig star Marcel Sabitzer

According to SportBILD (as relayed by Sport Witness), Tottenham Hotspur are keen on snapping up RB Leipzig star Marcel Sabitzer, who is expected to be on the market next summer.

Sabitzer was one of the stars of the show as Julian Nagelsmann’s side thrashed an injury-stricken Tottenham team 4-0 on aggregate in the Champions League round of 16 last season.

Leipzig eventually reached the semifinals, where they were knocked out by French giants  Paris Saint-Germain.

Tottenham were linked with the Austrian international soon after they were knocked out by the Bundesliga side (BILD) and reports once again resurfaced during the last transfer window, although nothing came of it.

SportBILD now claim that Leipzig may sell the winger next summer as his current contract is set to expire in 2022 and the club are not in a position to meet his demands over a new deal.

Sabitzer is said to be attracted by the prospect of a move to the Premier League and Tottenham have been credited with an interest in the versatile Leipzig star.

The report reveals that he could be available for a fee of around €30m (£26.7m) at the end of the current season.
