Report provides update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat – ‘Intensify talks’

Tottenham remain in talks with Fiorentina to sign midfielder Sofyan Amrabat with an agreement still yet to be reached between both clubs, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Spurs are said to have identified Amrabat as a potential incoming ahead of next Monday’s transfer deadline should Tanguy Ndombele leave the club (Sky Sport Italia).

The Guardian claims Antonio Conte’s side are ready to put forward an official bid to sign the Morocco international on an initial loan with an option to buy for 16 million (£13.4m).

Sky Sport Italia now claims Spurs are set to ‘intensify talks’ with Fiorentina to get a deal over the line for Amrabat, who is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The report states negotiations are ‘well underway’ and although there is no agreement as of yet, Spurs are confident that they will be able to wrap up a deal.

It also adds that Spurs could look to secure loans for Ndombele alongside Dele Alli before returning to finalise a move for Amrabat.

Spurs Web Opinion

There seems to be a few strands regarding Spurs’ dealings for Amrabat. There is confidence that a transfer will materialise, but Spurs have a couple of players to sort out in terms of clearing space. With a few days remaining, you have to hope that the club’s timing is right to achieve this.
