Report: PSG could make deadline day move for Tottenham player

According to The Daily Express, Paris Saint-Germain could make a deadline day move to sign Serge Aurier.

Emerson Royal looks set to sign for Tottenham over the coming hours and the North Londoners are reportedly trying to sell one of Serge Aurier or Matt Doherty.

Aurier, who is now into the final 12 months of his contract with Spurs, has looked the most likely of the two to leave all summer.

The Ivorian was rumoured to be on the radars of both PSG and AC Milan earlier in the summer but neither move has materialised. Real Betis were also alleged to be making a late attempt to sign the 28-year-old.

However, if The Express’ latest update is to be believed, a return to PSG remains on the cards for Aurier.

The report claims that Mauricio Pochettino could look to reunite with the right-back he brought to Spurs from Paris in the summer of 2017.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am extremely suspicious of this report as no other source seems to be reporting that a return to PSG is on the cards for Aurier. I believe the 28-year-old is much more likely to complete a cut-price move to Betis.
