Report: PSG determined not to let Pochettino go to Real Madrid

The Daily Mirror have revealed that Real Madrid are turning up the heat to get Mauricio Pochettino but Paris Saint-Germain are determined not to allow the Argentine to join the La Liga giants.

Mauricio Pochettino reportedly remains Daniel Levy’s number one choice this summer, according to multiple reports.

While The Mirror back up the assertion that Tottenham have not given up hope of bringing the PSG boss back to North London, they suggest that Real Madrid are likely to be his next destination if he does leave Paris.

The report claims that Pochettino would not be able to turn down the allure of managing Real Madrid and Los Blancos are ready to intensify their pursuit of the former Spurs boss.

However, the report adds that PSG, who recently activated a clause to extend Pochettino’s contract until 2023, do not want their head coach joining Real Madrid due to the animosity between the two clubs.

It is explained that there is still bad blood between the two clubs due to the French giants’ refusal to sign up for the disastrous European Super League, an idea which Real president Florentino Perez was one of the main driving forces behind.
