Report: PSG have met with agent of Tottenham player ahead of the summer

Reports out of France claim Paris Saint-Germain director Luis Campos has met with Harry Kane‘s agent and brother as the Ligue 1 side step up their interest in the Tottenham Hotspur striker.

Kane is having an incredible season for Tottenham this year, having hit 29 goals in all competitions, 27 of which have come in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).

The club however has endured a disappointing campaign both on and off the field.

Spurs are currently in seventh place in the Premier League but could slip out of the European qualifying spots by the end of the season if results go against them in the final two games.

Another year without silverware has led to mass speculation that Kane will look for an exit from Tottenham in the summer. The 29-year-old has just over a year left on his current contract.

Kane is reportedly reluctant to consider a new deal with Spurs until a new permanent manager is hired at the club (Football Insider).

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for Kane (Daily Star).

PSG have also been mooted as a possible destination previously (Le Parisien) but those links are now seemingly more substantial than ever.

According to Santi Aouna at Foot Mercato, PSG director Luis Campos has already met with Kane’s brother and agent Charlie to discuss a move.

It is thought the French giants are now making Kane a priority for the summer as they look to acquire a new striker.

The report adds that PSG are also interested in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, but it is thought Kane would be the cheaper option.

This sounds worrying indeed. While the idea of Kane leaving Spurs is not an impossible one, the fact his representative has been speaking to other clubs makes it all feel more real.

Still, I cannot see Kane leaving the Premier League with Shearer’s record so close now.
