Report: PSG have Spurs star on shortlist to potentially replace Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director has drawn up a four-man shortlist of forwards to replace Kylian Mbappe should he leave the French club.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is one of the names on the list, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Richarlison, and Mohammed Salah said to be the others. However, Ronaldo has now famously made the return to Manchester United.

Kane has already been heavily linked with a move away this summer but the striker has now confirmed he is staying at Spurs for this season.

Mbappe’s future at the French club is up in the air as Real Madrid have offered PSG £146m for the 22-year-old, with a six-year deal on the cards.

Mbappe’s contract expires next summer, meaning PSG may want to gain a fee for him given he could potentially leave as a free agent next year.

The potential move to PSG would result in a reunion with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, whom the England captain saw great success under.

A reunion with Pochettino and a guarantee of trophies? I could see this move making sense, but probably next year. However, Kane wants that Premier League goal record and leaving to go abroad would render that null and void.
