Report: PSG have Tottenham man on list of targets for the summer

The Daily Mail have reported that PSG have both Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane on their list of potential targets for the summer.

It is said that Mauricio Pochettino is expected to leave the French capital at the end of the current campaign, regardless of how the season finishes. While PSG look on course to reclaim the Ligue 1 title, they once again failed to impress in the Champions League.

The Daily Mail report centres around Manchester United’s hunt for a permanent head coach ahead of the 2022/23 season, with Erik ten Hag said to be leading the way. Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly fallen down the pecking order after his struggles at PSG (ESPN).

Antonio Conte has seen an uptick in form at Tottenham over the past few weeks, with his wing-back system finally clicking for the N17 squad, as shown by their recent 5-1 demolition of Newcastle.

Football Insider reported last month that Pochettino would be keen on rejoining Spurs, while The Telegraph alleged Daniel Levy would be ‘straight on the phone’ with the Argentine should the Spurs hotseat become vacant.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It’s all ifs, buts and maybes for Spurs at the minute. Champions League football, Conte’s frame of mind, how much Daniel Levy is willing to spend, and Harry Kane staying/leaving all have huge implications on what happens this summer. However, I expect Conte/Kane to stay put this summer.
