Report: PSG join the race for striker linked with Spurs and West Ham

90 min have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain have become the latest club to enter the race for Reims starlet Hugo Ekitike, who is alleged to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Ekitike has hit the limelight this season, establishing himself as a regular in Reims’ staring lineup and notching up eight goals and three assists in 17 league appearances so far.

Tottenham were previously named as one of the clubs to have expressed an interest in the 19-year-old forward, who can also play out wide.

90 min have now claimed that while Spurs and West Ham are monitoring the youngster, neither club are prepared to offer him the terms that Newcastle are willing to.

The report reveals that the Magpies have been in talks with Reims over the past week regarding a deal for Ekitike, with the youngster thought to be in favour of a move to St James’ Park.

However, it is asserted that PSG have now joined Newcastle in the race for the Reims star, with the Les Parisiens viewing the teenager as the potential long-term replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

The Tottenham hierarchy are certainly not going to get involved in a bidding war with Newcastle or PSG. So, even if the club had a genuine interest in Ekitike, they are unlikely to act on it, and will probably turn their attentions to other targets.
