Report: PSG make approach to sign 25-year-old rumoured to be on Spurs’ radar

Tottenham Hotspur’s rumoured pursuit of Milan Skriniar may have just become more challenging after a report from Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign the centre back.

Skriniar has fallen out of favour with Antonio Conte and a possible swap deal with Tanguy Ndombele has been mooted as a possibility this summer (Sky Sports Italia via Sempre Inter).

Jose Mourinho is reportedly a big fan of the Slovakian international and is said to have identified him as the man to bolster the Spurs defence following the departure of Jan Vertonghen (FC Inter News).

The Italian press suggested until last week that the Lilywhites were in pole position to snap up the 25-year-old (Tuttosport via Sport Witness).

However, Gianluca Di Marzio claims that PSG have made contact with Inter Milan over Skriniar.

The report claims that the Nerazzurri are now ready to let the defender leave as they look to raise funds for their transfer targets.

It is revealed that while the Ligue 1 champions have made contact through intermediaries, they are yet to make an official offer for Skriniar.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am sure Skriniar will be interesting a lot of top clubs around Europe if he becomes available this summer. Tottenham and Daniel Levy might be using Tanguy Ndombele as their trump card to try and negotiate a favourable deal for the centre-back, much like they used Walker-Peters to secure Hojbjerg’s signature despite the Dane attracting significant interest.
